Jarvis can now track packages for me. He tweets every time the package status changes and then texts me when its delivered. He even includes a link for me to click that gives me a more detailed view of the package status.

Jarvis helps me with my migraines

When I get a migraine they are really tough. I get loss of vision as a precursor to the pain and queasiness. Once I start to see those vision changes its a race to get home as quickly as possible, but I also like to notify people that I am getting them, as it put me out of communication for an extended period of time. Its hard for me to do because half my vision is gone and I can't really see the keyboard in front of me. I've taught jarvis that when I tell him I am getting a migraine, he will notify people for me via text, email, twitter and facebook.

What is Project Jarvis

So I had this idea. What if my apartment and the things inside of your house, lights, appliances, computers, etc, could twitter? What if I could twitter back?

The idea of Project Jarvis is using Mac OS X scripting and twitter to creating a two way communication between me and my apartment. Check on the status of things, let me know when specific things happen, do things I ask it to do, wake me up in the morning, etc.

I chose "Jarvis" because of one my of favorite movies, "Iron Man". In the film, Tony Spark speaks with his house, named Jarvis. I love the idea of this and thought it would be fun to make it into a reality (to some degree of course). :D
